WHO IS "BODE"
Brian Bode didn't enter the beauty industry. He was born into it.
As a second-generation member of the founding family of Sebastian International, Brian grew up watching one of the most iconic professional hair care brands in history get built from the inside.
Born in Los Angeles. First decade in Beverly Hills — the most competitive salon market in the world. Trained in communication arts and creative direction at Art Center Pasadena and The Art Institute Santa Monica - San Fransisco — the discipline of knowing where visual culture is going before it arrives.
For over a decade he developed product collections, originated cutting techniques, and forecasted trends for Joico, Sebastian, KAO, Wella and many more . He was in the room before the campaigns. Before the launches. Before creative direction was set.
Behind the runway at New York Fashion Week for Alice and Olivia, Three as Four, and Pamela Love.
Founded in 1997 he opened Oya Salon in Monterey, California — serving the central coast ever since.

Oya Salon
In 1997, Brian founded Oya Salon as an extension of his industry experience, passion for education and desire to contribute to the betterment of his community. The salon quickly garnered local and national accolades and has continued to attain recognition throughout the country.
